If you are serious blogger that is curious about the future of his or her blog don't ignore this see What Happened to Linda Ikeji's [A famous Female Nigerian Blog] Blogspot and Lessons For all Bloggers

Google.com

Do you wanna know what really happened to Linda Ikeji Blog?.

It was totally a bad new due to one reasons or the other the blog was recently deleted on 8th of October, 2014 by Google; www.blogger.com/www.blogspot.com owner; the free blogging platform she was using for in blogging before her content disappeared from the web.

There were rumors everywhere that [Linda Ikeji Blog] was deleted by Google because of copyright infringement she face copyright penalties.

But finally, the Good news is that the blog has been restored after some review just within 24hours after it was deleted. Although it was later restored back online but there are lessons I hope all Bloggers have to learn from this.

...:::Lessons to Learn:::...

1. Never stop Learning:- Learn always, learn if you want to, learn if you don't want to, learn everyday. Don't Just sit behind or sleep always because your blog is growing fast and you are making steady money from it doesn't mean you gonna stop learning blogging / blogger tips. No one knows it all except The Almighty. Relate with with co-bloggers, comment to blog posts, join blogging groups, blogging forum, like Bloggers fan page and also review the blogging tips been shared all over the Internet.

Learning will be of helping bloggers to stay updated about the right and wrong doings even the copyright rules.

I was totally surprised when I discovered that Linda didn't back up her blogposts the time she was under threat of DCMA. Blogger like me would have advised her to do so if she seek for advice at habeloablog or Bloggerslab or other online communities for bloggers..

There is another top Nigerian gossip blog that wad hacked last year because the owner was caught as scammer.

Most bloggers / webmasters were still falling in to scammer, if they are have been following online discussions about phishing tricks. there is no way such bloggers will fall for those devil tricks[scammers]

So, instead of using all the time you've got to be browsing the web just for making funs, I advice you to spend part of it to learn.

2. Blog Backing Up Where it was Hosted: Backing  up Your Blog often Whether your blog is hosted on Blogger, WordPress or any other blogging platform. Anything might happen to your blog anytime. Not only that, backing up helps blogger to keep his / her post in cade for future purpose.

Like a friend of mine [a blogger like me], lost alot of content when attacked recently, unfortunately because he didn't have an up to date back up he lost lots of contents. Also, when my Boss blogsite was deleted by Blogger last two years, he couldn't instantly move to WordPress because he didn't have an up to date back up too but I'm sure he have learnt his lesson since then.

If you are on Blogger and you have an up to date back up, you can easily restore your content on a new or another blogging platform [like wordpress] if Blogger deletes your blog. If you are on WordPress and hackers attack or host suspends you, you can restore your blog easily too on another host if you have an up - to - date back up.

3. Don't Ignore TOS [Terms Of Services]:- As google
has its own terms of service, privacy policy, bloggers using google platform should keep their eye on the terms of service often and often so as to stay updated.

Also, Every online services has there own terms to abide with. Pls, always stick to the rules. Just because a Blogger is shooting out updates [post] all the time without his/her blog been deleted doesn't mean you are wiser. You might not be lucky as Lindaikeji felt into victim.

4. Say NO! to Plagiarism:- Don't Use Other People Content Without their Permission, be it an article, image, music etc, do not post it on your blog without seeking right permission from the owner. If you've been doing that, please STOP that ASAP.

Google can delete your Blog, wash you away from Adsense programme, remove your blog from Google search engine if found guilty. If your blog is on WordPress, your host can suspend or delete your account too. You can even be sued as my friend recently discussed with me how he almost got sued for not crediting the source of a photo he used on his blog. In-This-Case, SAY NO! TO PLAGIARISNM [Unfear theft].

5. Get A Custom Domain For Your Blog: Although, Linda Ikeji blog has her own custom domain [lindaikejiblog.com] still, she felt into victim.
Now asuming she has an up to date backup with a custom domain, if I'm the one I will just open a new blog or move to a new blogging platform . In here I'm still using free Google Domain for my own blog but I've learnt my own lesson at this point. To be serious with blogging and to make it popular, let's ensure we get a custom domain for the blog as soon as possible. If you wait till it gets famous, some other bloggers might have purchased the good names you are willing to use.

As I said it earlier, I have learnt my lesson here by using custom domain for my blog and very soon, we will be launching our own domain.

Link. Where to get a custom domain? There many places to get custom domain for you blog are much than you taught over the web at a varry prices.

If you have set up a custom domain for your blog, now blogger mess up with it by deleting it, you can use the domain name for a new blog and your readers will still be able to find your contents since you've backed it up. This might not be possible if you are using a free domain from your blog [.blogspot address] because you don't have any control over the .blogspot address.

6. Don't Ignore Warnings:- If you receive complaints via email, voice call, Facebook, Twitter etc about some copied content on your blog, please, do not ignore. You don't know who the person is..

As much as you know that you got the content somewhere, even if not from the site of the person that contacted you, delete the

content or link back if that's what the person wants. Never wait till Google or your host work on it you might not be lucky as Linda Ikeji.

So those are the points I hope it can be of a lessons to all bloggers.

If you are a blogger using please don't ignore this, it can be of help to you..

If you have contributions to make, kindly share via comments.

Please, share this with other Bloggers.

Cheers!!!

Stay clean!
